Pioneer Woman "Boost" Action

Shot in my front yard. Since we just moved in a couple of months ago to our new home, I have no idea what kind of flower this is. It bloomed a couple of days ago. I love the hot pink color.

This was taken the day of baby shower - after we got back - in the backyard of our rental (which we will be leaving shortly for our new house!). I'm wearing a maternity dress I bought 5 years ago :) and Sofi is wearing a "big sister" shirt I designed for her. Jamie is wearing a Spiderman video game shirt (a game he worked on).

I keep putting it off because I wanted to catch up with all the photos I missed.

If you can believe it, Zara is becoming even more active. Kicking me to the point of discomfort. She is getting REALLY strong. I think I have one active child on my hands. Luckily at night, she seems to calm down. But during the day she makes her presence known with some jabs, punches and kicks to my insides.

It snowed! I held my camera at ground level to shoot this and hoped for the best. Love the snow and the length of the blades of grass of our unmowed lawn.

I ordered a custom-made hand-carved rubber stamp of myself holding a camera with my name on it from Craftpudding's Etsy shop. I love it! I asked Sofi to "model" it for me.

Sofi and her best friend Hyunjin had a quickie playdate at the park after pre-school - it was sunny and about 46 degrees. I used my 52 mm lens.

You might not tell what this is, but is three pre-school friends holding handing during circle time. They all wanted to hold each other's hands. This was the only possible configuration. LOL

After a trip to the library after lunch at Baja Fresh, Jamie sat down to read one of Sofi's finds: Thump, Quack, Moo - a book that made Jamie laugh out loud more than once. Must be a good one!

I'm way behind in posting my daily photos because my freakin' computer has been invaded by viruses. So I spend almost every other day scanning my computer. But. I. Think. It has finally been resolved.

In an attempt to declutter some scrapbooking supplies, I found some of this American Crafts paper with thought bubbles. I decided to cut out each one much to Sofi's delight. She held one up to her mouth and starting adding her thoughts :)

Today we went to our friends' 3-year-old birthday party held at Lucky Strike. What a cool place to have a party! Sofi loves bowling, especially with the little metal ramp they put on the lane for the kids.....And Sofi was the ONLY kid to get a STRIKE!!!!!!!!! WTG Sofi. (They also have REALLY good french fries there.)

January is almost over and I haven't missed a day since I started. I'm very proud of myself.

So on to today's photo. This is Sofi en route to a playdate at the Children's Museum. It was sunny today. And windy. So Sofi needed her Hello Kitty shades. P.S. There is HK sticker on the lens that I can't bring myself to remove, so that's why it's still on there.

29/365: Playdate

Sofi had a playdate today with a long-lost (relatively speaking, they haven't seen each other in over a year, which = 1/4 of Sofi's life) friend, Zoë. I don't know what exactly what they did because for almost the entire time Zoë and Sofi were off together while I chatted with Zoë's mom, Maegan. I'm not complaining at all because it gave us a chance to catch up. I got a tour of Maegan's fabulous new house, got tips on decorating/moving, met the newest addition beautiful Eden, talked a little shop i.e. digi scrapbooking, and even scored a motherload (pun intended) of maternity clothing. Thanks Maegan!!!

So in honor of our little playdate (for both the girls and the grown-ups) here's a photo of Sofi and Zoë playing with Play-do. Here's to many more playdates in the future!

Sofi's brand-new cupcake shoes from Osh Kosh. She has a V.I.P. (Very Important Pre-schooler) presentation on Wednesday at school so I wanted to get her a new outfit and shoes. Her dress (which I think is actually a tunic) has the same print. I also got a matching dress for my little bun in the oven. It's gonna be fun dressing TWO girls! This photo is an homage to Liz and her photos of her fabulous shoes!
